About the Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for one (1), Clinical Projects Summer Student to join our team in Toronto, ON on a Contract, full-time, basis (8-weeks).
Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday (with periodic work on evenings and weekends)
Wage: $17.20 per hour (plus 6% pay in lieu for Vacation)
Casey House is seeking one (1) student to support ongoing projects on our Clinical Team. With the support of the Quality Lead and Electronic Medical Record Lead the students will:
- Review and organize paper archives of medical records and other hospital records
- Review and organize electronic medical records and assist with data migration activities
- Make recommendations about storing documents (developing paper-based and/or digital filing systems) and develop a system for storing documents as appropriate
- Organize documents that do not need to be retained and preparing them for secure document destruction
- Support with other duties and other clinical projects as required (including data entry, inventory management, etc.)
- Uphold the upmost confidential information.
About You
The following qualifications will ensure your success in this role:
- Knowledge of the health care environment and familiarity with medical/mental health terminology
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Must be able to lift 20lbs
- Experience with data entry is an asset
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting, is an asset
- Knowledge of PHIPA and other applicable privacy regulations is an asset
- Preference for students in nursing, health or data/informatics focused programs
