About the Opportunity
Casey House is looking for a Implementation Lead to join our team in Toronto, ON, on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week, M-F).
Are you passionate about transforming healthcare systems to deliver meaningful, client-centered care? Do you thrive on making a tangible impact by leading the rollout of innovative clinical programs and services? We are seeking an Implementation Lead to join our Strategy and Knowledge team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of translating human-centered design strategies into actionable, sustainable changes that directly improve staff and client experiences. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful rollout of new clinical programs, services, and care pathways, all while aligning with our commitment to inclusivity, quality outcomes, and client-centered care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Implementation Lead, you will:
- Collaborate with the Director of Service Design and Clinical Directors to create and execute comprehensive implementation plans informed by client experience, staff insights, and evidence-based practices. These plans will include detailed timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Use iterative design and prototyping through pilots to guide the implementation of newly designed services, ensuring alignment with organizational values and meeting the needs of diverse client populations.
- Measure progress against success principles, rubrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure effective implementation and sustainability of new services. Provide ongoing feedback to refine and enhance service delivery.
- Provide coaching and support to clinical staff throughout the change process, ensuring smooth adoption of new practices and empowering staff to contribute to service improvements.
- Lead efforts to translate service design strategies into practical knowledge for clinical teams. Facilitate lessons learned sessions and share best practices to enhance service delivery.
- Continuously evaluate outcomes of newly implemented services, working with the Quality Lead to support quality improvement (QI) initiatives that optimize client outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for further refinement of clinical services and processes, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Director of Service Design, Clinical Directors, clinical staff, and the Client Centered Design Specialist.
- Work with the Client Centered Design Specialist and Client Advisory Committees to ensure that GIPA/MEPA values are upheld by integrating the lived experiences of structurally marginalized populations living with or at risk of HIV into every stage of the implementation process.
- Lead team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to gather insights, provide updates, and facilitate smooth adoption of new services and workflows.
- Actively involve individuals living with HIV in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs, ensuring that their experiences and insights are central to decision-making processes.
About You
You have a strong background in healthcare service innovation and processes, with expertise in iterative design, prototyping, and implementation. You are experienced in developing comprehensive implementation plans that include detailed timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Your proficiency in using data-driven insights to measure progress, coupled with your experience with innovation frameworks and methodologies, allows you to effectively drive initiatives from concept to execution.
You are experienced in both strategic service design and hands-on implementation. You’re dedicated to measuring outcomes, improving services, and ensuring the changes you help implement are meaningful and sustainable.
The following skills and qualifications will also be required:

- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare (e.g., nursing, social work, public health) or a design-related field (e.g., Strategic Foresight and Innovation, Anthropology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Centered Design, User Experience, Service Design). A Master’s degree is an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in service innovation, design, and implementation.
- Proven ability to lead and coach multidisciplinary teams through complex change processes.
- Knowledge and experience with innovation and implementation frameworks and methodologies, focusing on program development, iteration, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Healthcare experience, including care pathway coordination, or similar roles within the healthcare industry, is an asset.
- Background in clinical care delivery with a focus on implementing client-centered services and improving health outcomes is an asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge of anti-oppression frameworks, social, structural, and colonial determinants of health, and the principles of intersectionality. You are committed to mitigating their impacts on marginalized populations.
- Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to inspire and empower individuals, build relationships, and facilitate cross-team collaboration.
- Proficiency in standard computer applications (MS Office Suite) and visualization software such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro/Mural.
- Self-awareness, critical self-reflection, and a willingness to seek support when needed.
