About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Outpatient Services assumes a strategic leadership role. This position oversees the outpatient services department, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive, client-centered care that emphasizes harm reduction principles, primary care interventions, and clinical excellence. The Director provides leadership, guidance and support to outpatient team members and support staff, collaborates with clinical and broader leadership teams to drive strategic initiatives that enhance client outcomes, operational efficiency, and the organizational goals of Casey House.

More specifically, your responsibilities in this role will entail, but are not restricted to:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement plans for outpatient services and clinical care, aligning departmental goals with Casey House’s strategy, policies and procedures.

Clinical Oversight: Provide clinical oversight and guidance, ensuring high-quality care delivery that integrates harm reduction strategies and primary care principles.

Client Care Coordination: Collaborate with clinical and leadership teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans for clients, emphasizing continuity of care and holistic wellness.

Staff Management: Lead and mentor clinical and administrative staff.

Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor clinical quality metrics, implementing protocols and best practices to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and promote client safety.

Program Development: Lead the development and expansion of outpatient programs and services, incorporating evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to meet broader community needs.

Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients rights and needs within the organization and community, ensuring inclusive and accessible healthcare services and support systems.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and community organizations to enhance service delivery and promote health equity.

Budget and Performance Management: Oversee departmental budgets, allocating resources to support program and funding targets while also maintaining financial sustainability.

Continuous Improvement: Foster and lead a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the outpatient services department, encouraging clinical teams to actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities.

About You:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a regulated health profession, along with education in a field related to health care management, supplemented with seven (7) to ten (10) years' recent related, progressively responsible outpatient leadership experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities, with a proven track record of driving organizational change and achieving clinical excellence.
  • Comprehensive understanding of harm reduction principles, primary care practices, and clinical management in outpatient settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and community partners.
  • Proficiency in budget management, resource allocation, and financial analysis.
  • Commitment to client-centered care, health equity, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and accreditation requirements.
